• Dear Shelly, My wife and I dropped into your Coral Bay Office on the off chance; we had not made a firm decision to buy a property in Cyprus but had an interest in learning more about the possibility. It was late afternoon (17.45) near to closing yet Philippa made us welcome; she quickly gained our confidence and explained the service offered by Genesis. We left with the confidence that Philippa and Genesis would help us find a property to meet our needs. The next day we returned and with Philippa viewed three properties; she was very patient and took the time to listen to our dreams and fears and the third property ticked most of the boxes. • Dear Shelley,  Firstly let me say that we had never heard of Genesis before visiting the island and that our finding of the office was completely fortuitous, being towards the end of our stay. Up until the time we met Philippa we were frankly skeptical and unconvinced by the offerings shown to us by several well known agents and developers so i suppose it was with little enthusiasm that we entered the premises. From the start Philippa was different-she was neither desperate to sell nor ignorant of the market. Nor was she bumptious or condescending. What she was ,was knowledgeable, precise and prepared to tell it as it is warts and all. In essence she didn't waste our time nor her own, showed us a variety of interesting properties based on "our" criteria and came up with a unique plot with design and build which suited us perfectly and which had not been trotted out by others. Since we have signed on the dotted line with the developer, she has kept the sale on track ,negotiated discounts and insisted on us having what we wanted not what the developer thought was good enough. Nothing has been too much trouble and i know for a fact that we are not being treated any differently to her other clients. Having left the first flush of youth, traveled extensively and considering myself somewhat world weary and cynical i am not given to praise lightly(i have never before put pen to paper like this !) i can honestly say that we are thankful for having met her, the process of buying for investment/ retirement being fraught at best. • We went to Cyprus with the intent of looking at properties with the hope that we could manage to find a suitable place to live in.   Genesis Homes Abroad were very helpful in this enterprise.   They made sure to contact us prior to our arrival in Cyprus to find out what it was we were looking for.   GHA arranged to collect us at our hotel and took us to view property in the areas we had selected.   GHA agents Shelley and Julia spent nearly the whole week with us trying to find our ideal property and helping us through the process. GHA were very professional and from day one we felt comfortable.   We were not hassled or pressured into any decisions, quite different GHA took us to houses we had asked to see even though they know knew they would not be what we actually wanted.  They took on board our reactions to each property and made a real effort to locate property they believed we would like and within our budget.   They were successful - we found our ideal home in a pine forest in Souni.   GHA then helped us through the legal process, introduced us to a good solicitor and continued to offer help and advise after our return to England which was much appreciated.  The service received was excellent, first class and very professional.  Unlike some of the other agents who showed us property, one even suggested a solicitor wasn't needed! We don't think he understood the English need for safety and security before parting with our hard earned money. • Dear Shelley The beginning of last year I was browsing the web for property in Cyprus. It was not long before a relationship had started with Genesis Homes Abroad. There was communication by email and telephone ( which is something that one has to agree is quite scarce nowadays in the modern world). After making a date to meet with an agent months in advance (from South Africa) I made my way to the hotel that was decided on. Needless to say I was met by Julian who took me to Genesis office where I met Liza. Firstly, Liza took me around the area that I was interested in and she showed me more than I had bargained for so that I could try to understand the country side. She showed me the beach areas, villages, towns with important factors such as shops, doctors,hospitals etc. After falling in love with a certain property, which was still under construction, Liza noticed my interest and insisted that she show me many more apartments so that I may be satisfied with the whole picture. So off we went viewing properties and after running out of time I was put up in a 5star hotel at Genesis expense. This was a fantastic gesture. The next two days we continued our property hunting and I finally decided on the one I had liked. This is where I have to compliment Genesis Homes Abroad because Liza took me to the lawyers,bank ( for a mortage bond) and for a medical check up which were all done in a single day. It was a miricle to my mind as this type of service is absolutely unheard of. After a few months I emailed Genesis and requested if they could send me some photographs of the apartment so that I could see the progress. This was duly sent to me within 2 days.
